Melissa Hall is the author and creator of the Emotional Intelligence book and video series. With a career in mental health counseling that began in 2007, Melissa brings over 17 years of experience helping individuals and families grow stronger from the inside out.
Melissa Hall never set out to build a company, she set out to answer a calling.
For years, she sat across from children who couldn’t name their feelings, teens overwhelmed by pressure, and adults who never learned the emotional skills they desperately needed. She worked with parents who wanted to help but didn’t know how. She supported families trying to hold it together, educators stretched thin, and athletes carrying invisible burdens that no one saw.
Session after session, Melissa noticed the same truth:
People aren’t broken, they’re under-equipped.
They were never taught how to understand what they feel, regulate their emotions, communicate clearly, develop perspective, understand words, set boundaries, cope with stress, or believe in their own strength. Melissa realized that emotional intelligence wasn’t just a therapeutic concept, it was the missing foundation that families, schools, and communities needed.
So she built it.
First, she created Beyond the Image Christian Counseling, a counseling practice grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and faith. But Melissa knew the impact needed to reach far beyond session walls.
So she launched WiseEmotion, a platform where emotional intelligence could be taught proactively, creatively, and accessibly to every generation.
She wrote the book.
She built the lessons.
She designed tools for parents, educators, coaches, and kids.
She created systems for healing and growth that anyone could use, anywhere, anytime.
Her mission is simple but powerful:
Teach people the emotional skills they needed as children,
so the next generation never has to go without them. However, she knew that through repetition of new behavior patterns all ages can learn to live under a healthy mindset.
Today, Melissa is building an ecosystem that changes the way families communicate, how children grow, how teens cope, how parents lead, and how adults heal. Her story is not about overcoming a single challenge, it’s about answering a lifelong calling to elevate emotional intelligence across the world.
And she’s just getting started.

Romans 12:2, NLT
Don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Who are you, emotionally and personally? Your level of emotional intelligence and the life skills you've developed shape how you think, feel, and respond to the world around you. Gaining awareness of these areas is essential for meaningful personal growth and lasting success.
Psalms 139:13-14, NLT. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making my so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous- how well I know it.
